Experience
Overcoming territorial thinking and functional orientation by
turning to process orientation is the most important success factor
of a corporate organization oriented toward logistics. Experiencing
this insight directly is the substance of the management game ULF. A
“chaos round” only too plainly shows employees the disadvantages of
a functional orientation. The seminar participants find their way
out of this situation however in the guided moderation. Looking past
the end of one’s nose is elevated to a paradigm. The process
analysis separates value adding activities from wastefulness. As a
result, the orientation of the entire company toward the single
important parameter--- customer satisfaction --- succeeds.

Comprehend
The participants of the management game are no
longer consumers of knowledge but rather producers. By
autonomously working out the knowledge, they assess and
accept it as credible. The management game sets this
cognitive process in motion by playing several rounds.
Every round ends with a discussion of the outcome,
which integrates the participants in the improvement
process through the cycle:
• identifying problems,
• discussing measures,
• defining objectives.
By alternating sequences of theory and practical play,
passive communication of information is augmented by
active development of knowledge. Accordingly, the
sequence of the management game is divided into several
blocks building upon one another, which each analyze
the knowledge acquired in the preceding stage and
process and utilize it for solving further fields of
problems.
